– Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD were removed from the PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP without warning
– Official purchase option for those games on those stores has been closed
– Removal is reportedly linked to preparation for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2
– Master Collection Vol. 2 is scheduled to release 27 August 2026 on PS5 and other modern platforms
– The collection will include updated ports of MGS4 and Peace Walker HD
– Players who already purchased the games can still download them from their library; new buyers cannot purchase them on the older consoles
