Konami removes original Metal Gear Solid 4 and Peace Walker from digital storefronts after Master Collection Vol. 2 reveal
– Konami has removed Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker from digital storefronts (PlayStation and Xbox stores).
– Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 was announced at Sony’s State of Play and will re-release Peace Walker and MGS4 (and include Metal Gear: Ghost Babel).
– Konami’s Master Collection Vol. 2 is slated to launch on August 27, 2026.
– The Master Collection Vol. 2 is listed for PC (Steam), PS5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
– Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD was delisted from the Microsoft Store despite being backwards compatible on Xbox.
– Konami confirmed MGS4 will not include its Metal Gear Online mode, while Peace Walker’s online co-op will be retained.
– The Steam listing for the Master Collection Vol. 2 shows a minimum requirement of 16 GB RAM.
