Sanctuary Games announces Zanerdin: The Unbound for PS5 and PC as a gacha-style RPG without microtransactions
– Zanerdin: The Unbound was announced by South Korean studio Sanctuary Games (founded April 2025)
– The studio’s founder and CEO is Hyunduk You, a former NEOWIZ business development manager
– The game is in development for PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) and can be wishlisted on both stores
– It features gacha mechanics but all characters, pets, and gear in the base game are unlocked through gameplay (no microtransactions)
– The base game includes more than 60 turn-based battle stages with hand-drawn narrative cutscenes
– The roster comprises 25+ playable characters and 10 pets; additional story packs and playable characters will be released as DLC (pricing unannounced)
